This weekend Natalie and Mommy went to Portland. We stayed with Great Grand Aunt Julie and saw lots of fun stuff!
Friday afternoon we went to the Portland Zoo. This was Natalie's first zoo experience, and although she seemed less than impressed with some of the critters, she really liked some of the primates, polar bears and elephants. She made a great friend in the primate section!
The next morning we took the Max train to Portland Memorial Coliseum to see none other than ELMO Live! He and his friends put on a great show with lots of singing and dancing. Aunt Julie got Natalie a special light up Elmo toy before the show. For the first 10 minutes, she sat there with her mouth open, overwhelmed by what she was seeing... all her favorite characters, come to life right in front of her! After the shock wore off, she was ready to dance along. She danced in front of her seat for a while. Then she got the idea that she should dance with Elmo on stage. She was quite upset when I wouldn't let her. I had to chase her down our empty aisle twice! Luckily, in this crowd, she wasn't the only loud attendee that tried to make a break for it.

After Elmo and a quick lunch, she was pooped. A 3 hour nap! Following some shopping, we got a pizza and Aunt Judy came over for a visit. She had lots of energy after that nap and a lot of fun showing off her dancing skills for Judy and Julie.
Overall, it was a great weekend. We came home to see Daddy and he made a special Mother's Day dinner. Happy belated Mom's Day!
