If you recall, Natalie was born with a beautiful head of beautiful thick, brown hair. Somewhere around 2-3 months, it fell out, leaving only a small tuft on top (she had the unfortunate Donald Trump comb-over thing going on). The fuzz around her head was looking very blond and I was starting to think that I had picked up the wrong child - can you imagine, me with a blond-haired, blue-eyed girl?
This past week we noticed her hair has started thickening up around the sides and the back. Hallelujah! And, I can't tell yet for sure, but it seems to be coming in a little darker, giving me a glimmer of hope that we'll have another brunette in this family.
But, Natalie's been busy and it's not just hair she's been working on. I think she's teething (for real this time!). The average age is about 6 months so she's right on track, although I was hoping on this particular task, she'd be a little slower. Only time will tell, but something is definitely making her grumpy and uncomfortable, and only biting my finger seems to help. I guess it's good, because she's discovered the world of real food and she'll need teeth to keep up! This weekend she had her first taste of carrots and today she had squash. Loves it all and she's really mastered eating from a spoon. At first she'd push the food out with her tongue, but now she scarfs it down. The resulting diapers aren't very fun, but it's fun to see her learning new tastes and seeing how happy she is to feel like a big girl!
At this rate, she'll be driving next month...
