More of the Little Mermaid

Here are some more images of Natalie's first visit to the pool this weekend. Doesn't she look like a junior Olympian in the making?

Let's go for a swim...

Today we took Natalie to the new Madras Aquatic Center for her first swim lesson. We were amazed at how calm she was in the water. It was a little overwhelming at first with all of the bigger kids splashing and squealing, but soon she was kicking her little feet like a pro! She never got upset or freaked out, even when her daddy dunked her. Guess we have a little mermaid in the family... Enjoy the video highlights!

This week in pictures...

...an extraordinary girl doing ordinary things!

First big girl bath (yes, I finally came to terms and retired the infant tub that she outgrew two months ago!) and daddy feeding her yummy apple yogurt (though it's debatable how much she ate versus how much she wore).

Enjoy!

A quick trip to Suttle Lake

This weekend we visited Suttle Lake and stayed at one of their nice waterfront cabins. Except this time of year they should call them "icefront" cabins because there wasn't much water visible. Nevertheless, we had a great time.

We met Grandma and Grandpa Yost there and had a nice dinner at the Boathouse Restaurant. After Natalie and Daddy went to bed, the rest of us stayed up playing cards. The next day we had breakfast in Sisters and did a little shopping. Natalie got a pair of pink cowgirl boots that she may just fit into by summertime. Here are a few pics of Natalie with the giant stuffed bear that was in our cabin:

Natalie: "Uh, Grandpa, I don't think this is a very good idea..."
Natalie: "PLEASE don't let go of me or this giant bear may eat me !"
Playing with Grandpa's watch... (much more fun than toys!)

Not one, but TWO sweethearts...

What a lucky guy... Valentine's Day with two sweethearts this year! I didn't even mind sharing the day with his "other" love. We had a fun evening.

I don't know if fatherhood has made him more sensitive or what, but Jeramy went all out yesterday for the usually "stupid commercial holiday made up by Hallmark". Not only did I receive a dozen roses AND chocolate-covered strawberries (yummm!), but he made a fabulous lobster dinner (Natalie opted for Cheerios instead). Here are a few fun pics from our Val's Day:

Yes, Natalie loves to smile with her mouth as WIDE as possible!

Mmmmm, gourmet meal. Aren't you impressed with my husband's culinary skills?

Video: A girl's best friend

Jeramy got some footage of Natalie and Toby this weekend. Toby seems to have warmed up to our little Nat-Bug. And while I know Grandma Pat won't appreciate it, there's a reason she hasn't been sick in her entire life (knock on wood!)...

Enjoy!
